Fancy Nancy: Poet Extraordinaire!



I just found out that April is National Poetry Month...I didn't even know we had a National Poetry Month! Aynway, my friend Shannon emailed me the details to share on Resourceful Mom and it looks like a lot of fun!

Here are the details:

What: Celebrate National Poetry Month by dressing in your fanciest attire.

Where: Participated Borders locations, there's one here in Concord on Fort Eddy Road across from Hannaford

When: This Saturday, April 17th at 11 a.m.

Come join in the fun! They'll be word games, poetry writing, giveaways, and more!


A Thomas the Train Playdate!




Who: You and your Thomas the Train fan

What: A Thomas the Train playdate with storytime, coloring fun, Thomas trivia, special offers and FREE gifts!

Where: Toys R Us stores

When: Saturday April 17th from 11 am-1pm.

Today: LEGO Club!


Come visit the Concord Public Library for their monthly children's LEGO club!

Thursday, April 8th from 3:30-4:30.

This club gives Lego fans a chance to create with other builders. Each month will bring a new building challenge and a chance to make new friends! De-signed for grades K-8. Registration is not required.


Gardening Basics: Vegetables


Friday, April 16 from 12:10 to 1:00 p.m.

Located at the Library Auditorium.

Feel free to bring your own bag lunch to hear Master Gardener James Ramanek, Jr. give a presentation on “Gardening Basics (Vegetables).” He will cover subjects such as: should you have a garden? where should it be placed? soil preparation, planting zones, how to plant, and more. This program is sponsored by the University of New Hampshire Cooperative Extension and the Concord Public Library Foundation.

April 11 at 2:00 p.m. at the Concord Public Library Auditorium.

Please join us at the Concord Public library for “Science Magic,” from Boston’s Museum of Science. How do magicians pull a tablecloth off without disturbing the dishes? How do they make objects rise above the table? If you’ve ever wondered how magic tricks really work, this program will investigate the science behind the “magic” of several classic magic tricks. Shoestring Puppets during Family Story Time at the CPL

Family Storytime presents a return engagement of the Shoestring Puppets. This year the puppets will put new twists into some classic tales, some new tales bound to become classics, and a few surprises!
