Weekly Feature: You're Fired, create you're own pottery and mosaic studio

Wow! I love this place! Juliette and I went three weeks ago and had a blast!

This place offered a really nice, relaxing environment, with mellow music playing in the background; a perfect place to foster your creativity! The seating was cafe-style, it was very spacious and comfortable. Everything was very clean and organized. It was very easy for us to find the colors and materials we wanted to use. I liked how they displayed finished pieces around the room to show how certain paints and techniques look after being fired.

It was really fun to be able to personalize your own dishes and Juliette loved being able to create a masterpiece all on her own! The hard thing for Juliette and for other children might be the waiting time it takes for your pottery to dry and to cook. The wait time is usually one week, it was a nice surprise to see them after they had been fired and see how the colors changed during the process.

I also like how the dishes are all microwave and dishwasher safe, plus paints are lead-free, so no need to worry about contaminants leaching into your food.

Overall, this activity was really fun, we'll definitely do it again, but it isn't something I'd do on a regular basis because it the ceramic pieces are a little expensive.
